A Day with Dr. Clive Robbins, Music Therapy Pioneer

This morning I had the distinct pleasure of spending a morning in a wonderful workshop at the U of L School of Music, listening to and learning from Dr. Clive Robbins, who has spent his life working with handicapped children and using music therapy to transform their lives. If you're interested in learning more about him and his work with Paul Nordoff, go to http://www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk/

We noticed that you posted the Nordoff-Robbins U.K. website. Although it is true that Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy originated in England, more than 20 years ago Clive and Carol Robbins opened an American Center, based at New York University. At this time, the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Foundation is working hard to ensure that the U.S. Center will continue to serve its clients, conduct important research, and teach music therapists the Nordoff-Robbins approach. Clive continues to work out of this Center, actively lecturing and archiving countless historic videos which will serve as educational resources for the music therapy community. We are looking for your support and hope you will visit http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/music/nordoff/. For further information, please write us at nordoffrobbinsmusictherapy@gmail.com.
